I kept the outline of the contents page however it looks more spaced out due to me adding a sub title and a dateline. I kept the splash on the page because this draws the eye of the reader to the advertisement from the front page. I have used a pre - made clipart background in one part of my contents page, this is in the bottom right corner, behind the contract advert for a monthly magazine. I blended this using the darken blend mode, allowing the image to fade into my grey box background. This adds character to the magazine page and keeps it looking modern like several music magazines published today.
